PREV DISCUSSION... /Issued 236 PM CDT Thu Jul 22 2021/

DISCUSSION...Tonight through Wednesday Night...

Overall the forecast is pretty quiet, as high pressure will dominate
the western and central CONUS over the next week. Temperatures will
be on the rise so that widespread 90s to isolated 100s will be
possible by late this weekend to early next week. A weak low
pressure system will retrograde from central TX to the Four Corners
region. At the same time a high over the southeast will continue to
spin gulf moisture up along the western Mexico area. This
displacement to the west will aid in keeping moisture pretty much
over the Rockies. An isolated storm or two can`t be ruled out
Saturday through Monday, but it`s not looking good. The most
favorable area will be the western Panhandles, but still can`t
rule out the central and eastern Panhandles. The high will center
more over the central CONUS on Tuesday and hold for several days.
This will allow for temperatures to climb into the mid to upper
90s with some lower 100s possible.
