.SHORT TERM...
(Today through Tuesday)
Issued at 412 AM EDT Mon Oct 3 2022

No significant weather impacts or forecast concerns expected in the
short term period.

Upper low/remnants of Ian continues to spend over the mid-Atlantic
through the short term period with NW flow over the region. Weak
vorticity lobe will rotate through the state tonight but little in
the way of impacts other than a few more clouds and a wind shift
from E to NW on Tuesday. Sensible weather on Tuesday should be like
today, mostly clear with near normal temps. Fire weather conditions
should remain manageable but should get more critical later this
week.

.LONG TERM...
(Tuesday night through Sunday)
Issued at 412 AM EDT Mon Oct 3 2022

Generally N flow continues through most of the long term outlook as
the mid and upper level trough associated with the remnants of Ian
continues to sit over the east coast. Dry air remains entrenched
across the region as no new airmass is expected until at least
Friday when a dry coldfront pushes through GA. With the continued
dry conditions across the state, continued monitoring for Fire
Weather conditions is advised for all impacted parties through the
longterm outlook.

Temperature wise, highs starting in the mid 70s will begin to warm
into the low and mid 80s. With the passing of the cold front, 80+
temps should be confined south of the surface boundary, meaning cool
and dry fall conditions at night.

.AVIATION...
(18Z TAFS)
Issued at 157 PM EDT Mon Oct 3 2022

A stratus deck of mostly BKN030 is slowly degrading to low VFR
conditions and being replaced by a CU field at SCT050. This CU field
will stick around for the rest of the afternoon and gradually
dissolve after 03Z. Winds are expected to remain out of the ENE at 5
to 10 kts before shifting to NW tomorrow after 16Z.

//ATL Confidence...

High on all other elements.
