Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service San Angelo TX

...New SHORT TERM...

.SHORT TERM...
(This evening through Tuesday)
Issued at 123 PM CDT Mon Oct 3 2022

Dry and pleasant weather will persist across West Central Texas
the next 24 hours. Temperatures will be near normal, with light
winds. Lows tonight will be in the 50s, with highs on Tuesday in
the mid and upper 80s.

.LONG TERM...
(Tuesday night through next Sunday)
Issued at 1231 PM CDT Mon Oct 3 2022

Warm and dry conditions look to continue through much of the long
term forecast, stretching through this weekend. A weak cold front
is poised to track through our area by the end of the week, but
looks to only provide a wind shift across the area and not much
change with regards to temperatures. Model guidance is showing the
potential for some increased moisture under southerly flow working
with some upper level disturbances tracking through the area,
potentially bring the area a few isolated showers and
thunderstorms for late this weekend into early next week.
Currently, models are showing the areas west of a Sterling City
to Junction line to have a chance of isolated showers and
thunderstorms by late in the weekend or early next week. However,
at this point confidence remains on the lower end, and we will
continue to monitor as we approach the weekend.
