SEPTEMBER WAS A DRY AND WARM MONTH FOR GLASGOW. THERE WERE TWO DAYS
WITH VISIBILITY OBSTRUCTIONS OF SMOKE AND HAZE FROM FIRES OUT WEST
AT THE BEGINNING OF THE MONTH.

THE TEMPERATURE AVERAGED 65.9 DEGREES WHICH WAS 8 DEGREES ABOVE
NORMAL. IT WAS THE WARMEST SEPTEMBER EVER ON GLASGOW`S PERIOD OF
RECORD WHICH IS 128 YEARS. IT WAS ALSO HAD THE WARMEST TEMPERATURES
EVER EXPERIENCED IN SEPTEMBER AT 106 ON THE 7TH. THERE WERE 3 DAYS
THAT BROKE A HUNDRED DEGREES WITH THE 1ST AND THE 3RD BEING THE
OTHER 2. THERE WERE 5 DAYS ABOVE 90 DEGREES WITH THE 4TH AND THE 5TH
INCLUDED. THE LOWEST TEMPERATURES WAS 34 EXPERIENCED ON THE 21ST.
THIS TIES IT WITH 8 OTHER YEARS FOR 19TH PLACE FOR THE WARMEST LOW
IN 128 YEARS.

IT WAS A DRY MONTH WITH ONLY 0.13 INCH OF PRECIPITATION. NORMAL
PRECIPITATION IS 1.06 INCHES. THIS MAKES IT THE 11TH DRIEST YEAR ON
RECORD.

THE PEAK SUSTAINED WIND FOR THE MONTH WAS 32 MPH ON THE 13TH WHILE
PEAK WIND GUST WAS 40 MPH ON THE 7TH. THERE WERE ONLY 2 DAYS WITH
