WEATHERWISE DURING SEPTEMBER OF 2022 IN SHREVEPORT AND BOSSIER CITY,
LOUISIANA, WE RECORDED NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL
RAINFALL.  AFTER SHREVEPORT`S SECOND WETTEST AUGUST ON RECORD, THE
RAINFALL FAIRLY DRAMATICALLY ENDED AFTER THE LABOR DAY WEEKEND
HOLIDAY.  BY MONTH`S END, SHREVEPORT TALLIED A TWENTY DAY DRY SPELL
WITH NO RAINFALL RECORDED SINCE SEPTEMBER 10TH.

BESIDES THE AFOREMENTIONED DRY SPELL, THE ONLY OTHER NOTABLE EVENT
OCCURRED DURING SEPTEMBER 22ND WITH A TIED DAILY HIGH TEMPERATURE.
THE MERCURY REACHED 98 DEGREES DURING THE 22ND, TYING THE RECORD
LAST SET DURING 2011.  OTHERWISE, SHREVEPORT DID NOT OBSERVE ANY
SEVERE WEATHER NOR ANY FLOODING FOR AN UNEVENTFUL SEPTEMBER.

FOR THE WARM SEASON FROM MAY THROUGH SEPTEMBER, SHREVEPORT RECORDED
26 DAYS WITH TRIPLE DIGIT HIGH TEMPERATURES, THE MOST SINCE THE
NOTORIOUS WARMEST SUMMER ON RECORD DURING 2011 WITH 63 DAYS OF
CENTURY MARK AND ABOVE TEMPERATURES.
