...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
  counties, Brown, Coleman, McCulloch and San Saba.

* WHEN...Until 1100 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 900 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
    has fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are
    expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
    minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Brownwood, Brady, San Saba, Early, Richland Springs,
    Algerita, Cherokee, Bangs, Blanket, Skeeterville, Sloan, Elm
    Grove, Placid, Mercury, Rochelle, Winchell, Brookesmith,
    Voca, Camp San Saba and Trickham.
  - This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    Good Shephard at 11th, Gifford at Beaver, Magnolia at
    Belmeade, Cordell at Anderson, White Street at Live Oak
    Creek, South Blackburn between Adkins and 13th, 4th Street at
    Wood, Willis at Belmeade, Belle Plain at Romines and Indian
    Creek at 9th.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
