OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan
National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI
255 AM CDT Wed Sep 28 2022

FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

Brisk northerly winds and high waves will continue today for all
of Lake Michigan as strengthening high pressure builds into the
Upper Mississippi River Valley from the northern Great Plains. The
high of 30.5 inches will then reach Lake Michigan by this evening.
Much lighter winds and low wave heights are then expected for the
remainder of the week as high pressure lingers in the vicinity of
the Great Lakes. Lake effect showers will continue over southern
Lake Michigan today with chances for a few waterspouts.
