OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan
National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI
250 PM CDT Sun Oct 25 2020

FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

The eastern extent of a high pressure around 30.8 inches sitting
over the Northern Rockies will continue to impact the region
tonight through early next week. As the high shifts east, it will
help keep winds relatively light and northerly. Then a surface
low is expected to track east across central Canada towards
Hudson Bay and bring an enhanced pressure gradient across the
western Great Lakes Tuesday into Wednesday, where northern
portions of Lake Michigan may experience southwesterly gales
Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
