...NWS Damage Survey for 9/25/23 Tornado Event...

.Overview...A brief tornado occurred in a farm field near the
Stewart Tunnel between New Glarus and Belleville.  No damage
has been documented via ground survey or via local residents at
this time, but cell phone photos and videos from a nearby
resident clearly show a tornado occurring.  A local storm
chaser also documented the tornado and mentioned that it was
very briefly in contact with the ground.  Since no damage has
been documented, it is unknown how strong the tornado was.

Survey Summary:
Video provided by a local resident clearly shows the tornado
occurring in a field near their house, but no damage was noted
along any of the nearby roads.  Tornado likely only lasted about
10-20 seconds and stayed in the field.
