SUBJECT:  Terminal Aerodrome Forecast (TAF) Availability at Pago Pago
  International Airport (NSTU/PPG) on or about September 30,
2022

NOTE:  The following change has no impact on:
  -NOAA WeatherWire Service subscribers
  -Emergency Managers Weather Information Network
  -NOAAPort

Effective on or about September 30, 2022, the Pago Pago International
Airport TAF will be available from the National Weather Service (NWS)
Honolulu Weather Forecast Office when the NSTU METAR is provided and
in
accordance with National Weather Service Instruction 10-813
“Terminal
Aerodrome Forecasts.” This document is available at
https://www.nws.noaa.gov/directives/sym/pd01008013curr.pdf

The International Air Transport Association identifier is PPG; the
International Civil Aviation Organization identifier is NSTU.

The NWS and the American Samoa Government (ASG) will share
responsibility
for the surface aviation observations (METAR and SPECI) at the Pago
Pago
International Airport.

The ASG will provide the METAR and SPECI at the following times each
week:
Tuesday 0200-1700 UTC, Friday 0200-1700 UTC, and Saturday 2100-Sunday
0800
UTC. NWS Pago Pago will issue the observations for all other times.
When
observations are not available due to communication issues, etc., the
NSTU
TAF may be suspended (NIL) by the NWS Honolulu office.
