National Weather Service Blacksburg VA
345 AM EDT Sun Sep 25 2022

A cold front will pass across the lower Mid-Atlantic this
afternoon and evening, triggering scattered showers and widely
scattered thunderstorms, a few of which may become strong to
severe for brief periods of time. Rainfall amounts will be spotty
and modest, generally a tenth of an inch or less for most
locations. Winds will gust 15 to 20 mph beginning late morning
from the southwest, becoming west-northwesterly during the evening
as the cold front passes. High temperatures today will range from
the low and mid 70s across the mountains, to the upper 70s and
low 80s across the Piedmont. Dry air will build in behind the cold
front tonight, resulting in clearing skies. Overnight low
temperatures will fall into the upper 40s to the low 50s.
