Hydrologic Outlook

...The National Weather Service in Omaha has issued a hydrologic
outlook for increases stream levels...

This Hydrologic Outlook is based on both observed and forecast
precipitation. The rivers may respond differently than indicated...if
actual precipitation is greater or less than expected.

Later statements...possibly warnings...will be issued as additional
information becomes available.

  The Niobrara River Near Verdel.
* At 11:31 PM Thursday the stage was 6.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring...and no flooding is forecast but the
  river is expected to reach near 6.4 feet Friday.

  The Elkhorn River At Neligh.
* At 10:45 PM Thursday the stage was 5.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring...and no flooding is forecast but the
  river could reach near 10.5 feet by Saturday night.
