Storms will be capable of producing frequent cloud to ground lightning, gusty outflow winds, small hail, and heavy rainfall. * If you have events or recreation outdoors this week, be sure to have a storm safety plan. A top priority should be a way to quickly seek shelter in the event that a thunderstorm forms nearby. If a sturdy building is not immediately available, a hard-top vehicle with the windows rolled up is a good option for protection from lightning. If possible, consider completing outdoor activities (hiking, biking, etc) in the morning before afternoon/evening thunderstorms develop. * Streams and mainstem rivers continue to flow fast and cold. Avoid recreating near fast-running and nearly full waterways or unstable surfaces by riverbanks. Daily showers/thunderstorms will increase the threat of flash flooding. Have a way to receive weather alerts! Get to higher ground immediately if a nearby river or stream rises quickly, if there is debris in the water, or if the water suddenly becomes muddy. $$ http://weather.gov/reno

California...
West Walker River Near Little Walker and Coleville affecting Mono
County.
.Mild temperatures will continue to keep flows high along the West
Walker River including Walker River Canyon.
For the West Walker Above Topaz Lake...including Little Walker and
Coleville...elevated river levels are forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt will continue.
* WHERE...West Walker River Near Little Walker and Coleville.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 5.5 feet, Monitor Stage, No flooding in reach from
West Walker River Canyon through Antelope Valley CA including
Walker, Coleville, Topaz CA.
At 6.0 feet, Flood stage. Minor flooding of lowlands pasture &
rural roads in West Walker River Canyon and Antelope Valley
including Walker, Coleville and Topaz California. Roughly similar
to late May 2005, and slightly below peaks of June 2010 and May
2006.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:30 PM PDT Sunday the stage was 5.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river will oscillate near to below flood stage
with a maximum value of 5.9 feet early Monday morning. It
will rise above flood stage early Monday morning.
- Action stage is 5.5 feet.
- Flood stage is 6.0 feet.

...FLOOD ADVISORY FOR SNOWMELT IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PDT SUNDAY...
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by snowmelt is ongoing.
* WHERE...A portion of east central California, including the
following county, Mono.
* WHEN...Until 1000 PM PDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
River or stream flows are elevated, and out of banks in some
locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1207 PM PDT, Water management has reported snowmelt in the
advisory area, with further melt anticipated this weekend as
temperatures warm. This will cause bring continued minor
flooding to small creeks and streams.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mammoth Lakes, Mono Lake, Lee Vining, June Lake, Bodie,
Crowley Lake, Toms Place, Benton, Bridgeport, Twin Lakes,
Chalfant, Sonora Pass, Coleville, Crestview, Mammoth
Mountain, Conway Summit, Benton Hot Springs, Bridgeport
Reservoir, Robinson Creek Campground and Devils Gate Summit.
